2021 Cohort

  • Allison Barrett

    Allison Barrett

    Allison Barrett is from Demorest, GA and graduated from Habersham Central High School. She grew up on a farm and is very passionate about agriculture. Her family has a lengthy history at UGA, and she considers herself very fortunate to make her own mark. She enjoys watching movies and college sports (mainly SEC), reading, and just having fun overall. She hopes to become a columnist writing about her autism/experiences with autism after she leaves the program. A fun fact is that she was the only senior to receive a standing ovation at her high school chorus’ “Spring Show Concert”.

  • Brendan Teverino

    Brendan Teverino

    Brendan Teverino is from Marietta, GA, where he attended Marietta High School. He enjoys activities like painting, playing the drums, and running. Brendan is currently involved in the UGA Club Cross Country and Track team, and goes to Athens Catholic Center. Brendan is eager to learn more about graphic design and drawing in order to help him expand his skill set for future jobs. After the Destination Dawgs program, he would like to start his own clothing business/sell his own paintings. Brendan is excited about the Destination Dawgs program, because he gets to meet new people and be able to have new skills to help him for future jobs. Fun fact about Brendan is that he saw Metallica in concert.

  • Hallie McCollum

    Hallie McCollum

    Hallie McCollum is from Athens, GA, where she went to Oconee County High School. She enjoys musical theater, singing, dancing, and acting. Hallie’s favorite foods are Italian, Mexican, and any fast-food restaurant! Hallie also loves watching Georgia football, baseball, and gymnastic games. She won most improved in the high school chorus and performed in a community theater. Hallie is currently an usher at the UGA Performing Arts Center, which allows her to immerse herself in the theatrical world. Hallie is also a member of ESP on UGA’s campus and spends time on events such as Big Hearts and ES Piranhas. Hallie hopes to be an assistant music teacher at a preschool in her community in the future. One thing that Hallie loves about Destination Dawgs is that she can hang out with friends and work hard for her classes at the same time. A fun fact about Hallie is that she loves playing different instruments in her free time!

  • Jesse Pearson

    Jesse Pearson

    Jesse is from Athens, GA where he graduated from East Jackson High School. He loves to watch basketball and football, work out, and listen to music. He played basketball throughout middle and high school and played for his AAU basketball team. He also played football and ran track. He is involved in intramural basketball at Ramsey Student Center, where he also interns. After he graduates, he wants to be a coach or a graphic designer and make his own shoe design.
