Meet the 2024-2025 FACS Alumni Scholarship recipient
The FACS Alumni Scholarship recognizes exceptional students who embody the values and mission of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. These recipients demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a passion for making meaningful contributions to their communities.
We are proud to introduce this year’s FACS Alumni Scholarhip recipient, Dy'Amond McGhee .
Dy'Amond is a M.S. Student in Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics.
Scholarship Criteria
Recipients for the Georgia 4-H UGA College Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Scholarship are selected through the Georgia 4-H Foundation. Recipients must enroll in the UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences to be eligible for this award.
Recipients for the FCCLA UGA College Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Scholarship are selected through FCCLA. Recipients must attend the University of Georgia in the fall semester following the awarding of the scholarship. The scholarship is contingent upon receiving an official acceptance letter.
Recipients for the FACS Alumni Scholarship shall be selected by the FACS Scholarship Committee and awarded to a student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate FACS major. The student shall have a 3.0 GPA. The student must uphold the values of FACS and have a proven record of volunteer and /or leadership service to FACS, the UGA community and/or greater Athens community.
