Archside Chat: Life After College

 

Archside Chat is a series of discussions between FACS alumni and students. The purpose is to connect student and alumni related to topics of mutual interest where alumni can offer insights for current students.

Next up is an alumni panel to discuss life after college! Alumni will address topics such as activities that will help boost your resume, tips on searching for a job during economic downturn and how to prepare for your first job. If you are interested in learning about how to make the most of your time in undergrad and prepare for your future, register using the link below!

Meet the panelists! 

  • Geoff Bell

    Geoff graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with degree in Consumer Economics.

    He spent his first ten years removed from college in various Sales and Marketing roles for B2B companies in the Atlanta, GA area achieving a Director of Marketing position with an Advertising Agency in 2018. In 2019 he relocated to Charlotte, NC to pursue an opportunity with Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Testing and Experimentation Analyst for their Digital Ecommerce team.

    He’s also an avid golfer, runner, tennis player, country music fan and enjoys spending quality time with his family.

  • LaTrice Lyle

    LaTrice was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. With a love for servant leadership from an early age, LaTrice was always finding solutions to social problems that presented themselves in her schools and neighborhood. In high school, she led and served in several student organizations, including the Teacher Cadet Program. A program designed to develop aspiring educators before they entered college. She continued this work at the University of Georgia where she was the recipient of several scholarships including the annual Charter Scholarship for reflecting the Philosophy Statement of admissions.

    LaTrice launched EDquity Consulting with over eight years of experience in education. She has served in classroom and leadership positions in Atlanta, GA, Miami, FL, and the Greater Boston Area, MA. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a degree in family financial planning and has graduate degrees in education and school leadership from Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Graduate School of Education.

  • Blake Williams

    Blake is a Partner at SignatureFD, LLC.  As a co-Founder of SignatureFD LLC’s specialized SignatureEXEC practice, he provides financial design and wealth management services for C suite corporate executives and their families.

    Blake graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning and from the University of North Georgia with a Master of Business Administration. In addition, he is an Accredited Financial Counselor and holds a certificate in Applied Behavioral Finance from the Investments & Wealth Institute.

    Blake is passionate about growing the next generation of financial advisors and is an avid supporter of the University of Georgia’s financial planning program, serving as the President of the Alumni Advisory Board. Additionally, he has served on the University of North Georgia’s Alumni Board and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia.
