- Why I chose my major
Throughout my life I always had a knack for helping others and when I got to college, I was unsure what career paths could lead me to help others. Alongside helping others, I always enjoyed the topic of personal finance, whether I was helping budget out my money for the school year or helping others learn where to begin. Financial Planning is a great mix of both things I love doing. You can help people who may be financially stressed, unstable, or looking for better planning opportunities - the possibilities are endless. There is so much more to financial planning than just doing math or looking at spreadsheets. The ability to help others with their finances is what drew me to financial planning, and I am forever grateful for my time here.
- What I like most about FACS
The professors are huge supporters of you as a young person. All the professors I had my time here were engaged and involved in making sure we succeeded. I never felt threatened to go up to any of them after classes and talk. Every single one of them wanted to see us do well and helped in any way they could. Most of them are professionals in the field we want to pursue which helps guide us towards what we should expect in the future.
- Post-graduation plans
I will start my career as a financial planning associate at Homrich Berg Wealth Management in Atlanta. This will begin my journey to becoming a CFP professional.
