BSFCS, Financial Planning, 2021
- Current occupation/location
Senior Financial Planner, Elwood & Goetz Wealth Advisory Group
- What do you love about your current role?
Working with clients to meet their goals, both today and tomorrow.
- How did your time at FACS help prepare you for your life or career?:
I met countless people who have taught me a lot about the profession and fueled my passion for financial planning. The lovely professors and faculty were instrumental and I'm still in contact with a lot of them today.
- How do you stay connected to UGA and FACS?
I love to stay connected any way I can, whether that be through the mentorship program, speaking at events, volunteering my time with different student organizations, etc. COVID started right after I had just switched into the financial planning program, so I feel like I was missing that connection piece during my time there, which is why I believe doing these things are so important to me.
- What advice would you give current students who aspire to a similar career?
If you want to end up in a similar career, keep working hard and making connections. Go to the local SFPA meetings and ask questions. Join the mentorship program and get paired up with a mentor. Take advantage of all the resources that are available to you, and who knows, an opportunity may come up where you least expect it.
