- What do you love about your current role?
I love being out in my community and meeting new people. I love that I am in a role that allows me to help others and improve their quality of life.
- How did your time at FACS help prepare you for your life or career?:
FACS gave me skills and knowledge that I use every day in my job. My classes gave me the knowledge I needed to succeed in my field. My interactions with others in the college allowed me to gain professional skills and obtain opportunities that led me to my current role.
- What advice would you give current students who aspire to a similar career?
Stick with it! FACS classes are extremely helpful in day-to-day life and can lead to many fruitful career paths. Enjoy the process and explore different FACS-related career paths through volunteer opportunities and internships.
- How do you stay connected to UGA or the FACS community?
I work in FACS for UGA Extension. I love that I get to continue to be a part of the UGA and FACS community. I also have had the chance to host summer interns. Both of my interns have been FACS students. I am able to work with FACS staff, faculty and undergrads, which keeps me connected to the community.
