- What has been your proudest accomplishment since graduating?
Having my own business for 15 years! And being on the Bulldog Top 100 for the past 4!
- What was your favorite class in FACS?
I loved the History of Design - it's amazing to see how we've taken nuggets from all of the trailblazers to develop design into what it is today.
- Did you have a favorite – or most memorable – faculty member?
I had wonderful teachers! Loved them all.
- How do you think FACS prepared you for your career success?
I think the F&I program teaches you a little about a lot of things, so that you can find your area of focus and pursue more in-depth courses that suit your desires. But, there is NOTHING that compares to hands-on learning in the field!
- What inspires or motivates you?
I am inspired by the huge southern design community that I see on Instagram and Pinterest every day! We have so much design talent here in the south, and they are all doing big things! I am motivated by my family and my desire to create homes for other families too.
- What advice would you give a current FACS student looking to pursue a career in your field?
Take a job or internship and soak in as much as you can! Failures, mistakes, accomplishments, all of it!
