Why I chose my major

I got my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and knew I wanted to be a child life specialist. As I was nearing the end of my degree, I decided I wanted to pursue a master's degree in child life to gain more education before entering the career as a professional. I wanted to become a child life specialist because I love that I get to support the psychosocial well-being of children and families within the hospital environment.

What I like most about FACS

I felt very welcomed and supported during my two years of my master's program. Especially coming from out of state, I felt like I had a strong support system around me who cared not only about my academics and education but also about my emotional well-being as a person.

Post-graduation Plans

I completed an internship at Marshfield Children's Hospital and am now a Certified Child Life Specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
