- Why I chose my major
I always knew I wanted to work directly with people in a helping profession. During my junior year, I was at lunch with my dad when he told me I would excel as a financial advisor. After lots of research, I changed my major to financial planning. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have fallen in love with the financial planning profession because it allows me to make connections with people while also helping them work towards their financial goals.
- What I like most about FACS
I consider FACS my second family. Between my classmates and my professors, I have gained friends and mentors who have supported me throughout my time here. Along with the connections made, I have been able to earn unique hands-on experience volunteering at the Love and Money Center and VITA. I decided to join the Double Dawgs program and earn my master's degree because I was not ready to end my time at UGA with these amazing people!
- Post-graduation plans
I will be moving to St. Petersburg, Fla., to start a job at a wealth advisory firm. I will also be working towards passing the CFP exam.
