- Why I chose my major
I decided to major in Nutritional Sciences because many people do not realize how significantly nutrition impacts our health and culture. As someone who has always been drawn to the medical field, I am passionate about patient-centered care and adopting a holistic view of medicine. I chose this major to better serve my future patients by emphasizing the importance of nutrition while also challenging diet culture and weight stigma.
- What I like most about FACS
The best part about the College of Family and Consumer Sciences is the professors. There is no shortage of support and compassion from the faculty here. The professors have a genuine passion for what they teach, which is evident in how they conduct their classrooms. Every classroom feels like a family, and I’ve made many friends along the way.
- Post-graduation plans
Upon graduation, I will take a gap semester, during which I will continue to work as a CNA before I begin Physician Assistant school in the fall of 2025.
