- What do you love about your current role?
True freedom is found in the power to uplift others and make a lasting impact on our community—this is what I love most about my profession.
- How did your time at FACS help prepare you for your life or career?:
My time at FACS helped prepare me for my life and career by providing a program that is 100% aligned with what I do as a State Farm agent. At FACS, I gained knowledge and skills directly related to helping consumers with their insurance and financial services, which has been invaluable in my professional role.
- What advice would you give current students who aspire to a similar career?
If you’re thinking about a career like mine, I’d say the MSFP program at FACS is a solid choice. It’s a flexible degree that really prepares you for one of today’s fastest-growing fields. Beyond the coursework, UGA’s strong reputation and excellent instructors make a big difference. Employers recognize that coming from this program means you’ve been through something challenging and worthwhile. So, stay focused, work hard, and trust that the effort you put in now will open doors later.
- How do you stay connected to UGA or the FACS community?
I’m truly proud to be part of the Financial Planning Alumni Board — it’s an honor to be among so many dedicated professionals in financial services. Being connected to this community keeps me inspired and grounded. I carry the mark of the MSFP with pride, and there’s a special joy in saying, “Go Dawgs!” It’s more than just a phrase; it’s a reminder of where I started and the people who helped me along the way.
