Why I chose my major

I have always had an interest in pursuing a career that combined my love for all things art-related while providing a service to others. I was the little girl drawing constantly in my notebook and putting together cute outfits for all of my childhood dolls. Fashion Merchandising is the perfect choice since I get to be creative and sew fashionable garments for our student runway shows while also learning the fundamental skills that it takes to run a successful business!

What I like most about FACS

What I love most about being a part of FACS is the family-like atmosphere. Taking my classes with some of the same people I’ve known since my first year has helped me to build lasting friendships and connections. I also love that I get to meet so many different majors under one college and see how they all connect to the core principles of family and consumer science!
