- What do you love about your current role?
I love being able to help my clients achieve their Net Worthwhile® while also learning something new every single day!
- How did your time at FACS help prepare you for your life or career?:
The material I learned in the classroom is used daily! Each of my professors helped set me, and my classmates, up for success by emphasizing practical problem-solving and real-world applications.
- What advice would you give current students who aspire to a similar career?
If you are an academic to your core and if you want to help people, you’re in the right place! Financial Planning is a challenging, but extremely rewarding career. My advice is to stay curious, ask great questions, be authentic, and embrace change.
- What do you know now that you wish you knew when you were a student?
You will not know the answer to every question – and that’s OK! The phrase “that’s a great question – allow me to research and get back to you” is a useful tool. Your humility and earnestness will garner more respect than providing a quick answer. People will remember how you made them feel more than any strategy you present.
