There are five students organizations in the department geared toward student interests in various aspects of the fashion industry.
Student Merchandising Association
Student Merchandising Association seeks to educate and develop opportunities that will facilitate interest and professional development within the fashion industry. SMA hosts professional speakers, participates in activities fairs, and conducts a student-lead fashion show.
Fashion Design Student Association
FDSA is a student organization that prides itself on extreme fashion and creative personalities. FDSA was created to help you build your portfolio and resume. In addition, FDSA allows you the opportunity to develop the competence and skills needed to succeed in a fast-pace career in the fashion industry.
Rouge Magazine
Rouge defines a group of people wildly enamored by fashion. Powered by the bold and passionate, Rouge Magazine proudly represents the unified collaboration of fashion forward editors, writers, models, photographers, and creatives all working for one purpose: to make waves within the fashion community at the University of Georgia
Fair Fashion
Fair Fashion works to raise awareness in the UGA community about unethical labor and pollution/waste negligence within the fashion industry. The ultimate goal of Fair Fashion is to educate others on how to consume fashion through a more ethical and sustainable means. Through workshops, networking events, and student and community outreach, Fair Fashion actively works towards revolutionizing the fashion industry to prioritize human rights, environmental protection, and sustainability.

HAUTE Creatives Collective
We are a collective of passionate creatives with different skill sets who join forces to offer a full range of artistic endeavors. We interchange between photo shoots and social events each month, highlighting diversity amongst beauty and artistry. We also strive to partner with community organizations to support the creative industries.
The Agency
The UGAgency is the University of Georgia’s very first modeling agency. The agency specializes in bookings, castings, and the exposure of local models in today’s ever-expanding fashion industry. The UGAgency wants to give future photographers, models, make-up artists, and stylists the opportunity to build their portfolio while giving the entire team the experience needed to be successful in the fashion industry.
